Welcome to South Arm United Church!
We are a community with heart! We want to journey together on a spiritual path and grow in our faith with God. To learn more about us, feel free to explore our website, give us a call, or join us for worship on Sunday morning. If you haven't been here before, these are some commonly asked questions.
Where should I park?
We have more than ample parking around our building.
What is your worship style?
Our teaching is biblically-based and our worship style is diverse, utilizing modern worship songs as well as traditional hymns. We use electronic projection to enhance worship with visual imagery. We would consider our church to be friendly, casual, contemporary, and spirit filled. Everyone is welcome.
Do I need to dress up?
South Arm's worship services have a casual dress environment. Everything from shorts and flip-flops to slacks and dress-shirts, we have quite a variety of styles here so come just as you are.
What do you have for children and youth?
Everyone who comes to church gathers for worship together. About 20 minutes into most services, children and youth leave for their own creative program to explore faith at their own level, and adults stay in worship. Infants, children, and youth are welcome to stay in worship for the full hour if that is more comforting.
How often do you celebrate communion?
Communion is where all who are gathered share together in a small taste of grape juice and bread as we remember the last meal Jesus had with his disciples. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month, except for July and August..
How long are your services?
Services are about an hour.
Is your building wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our building is single-storey.
What else happens on Sunday mornings?
After worship, refreshments, goodies, and conversation takes place in our gymnasium. We hope you will stay so we can get to know you.
